Wow. We were at the Seattle Storm vs. Dallas Wings game last night. What a game! Not gonna lie, my expectations were pretty low based on the Storm's long losing streak. They've lost several close games, and a few not-so-close games, and Storm fans already know this just isn't a season that we can expect any miracles. This very young team, though, is really fun to watch, and I am so excited to see where they'll be in the next few years.

OK, so I just deleted a lot of what I had been writing about the game. I was getting into the weeds about stats and specifics on the game. That's not what I want to focus on here. That's not what I want FemmePower Adventures to be about. I want our experiences to be about the vibes, the amazing, positive energy that Kris and I and everyone in Climate Pledge Arena got to experience last night. It was such a great game. The skill level and individual performances on both sides were phenomenal, most specifically Dom Malonga and Paige Bueckers - OMG they both were so impressive, and they're both still so young.

Do I wish the Storm had won? Yes! This really young team with a coach that is just finding her feet in the WNBA - they're all working so hard. The effort on the court is just so great, and you want them to get the reward of winning. They're all serious competitors. But this loss felt different. It still felt like pretty amazing progress, I think. Winning will come. I am a believer.

My goal with FPA is to create opportunities for people to experience a game like this. To come away in awe of the performances - both individual and team - we get to witness when we attend a game like this. I just love the energy so much, and it gives me such joy. I hope to share that joy with everyone who participates in one of our experiences.

And to the Storm - hang in there! Your future looks so bright!
