We watched one of the Storm’s first away games at Doyle’s Public House in Tacoma on 5/17/26, and yes, I can call it a Watch Party, because our very first participant, Jessi, joined us. Yay for Jessi!
On the Seattle Storm Crazies Facebook page, I mentioned my intent to organize some Watch Parties in the Tacoma area throughout this season. This was the first of several, so I hope we can spread the word and get more people to come.
On a tangent, my brother is a huge Real Madrid football fan (he’s lived in Spain longer than he lived in the US), and the Madridistas (RM fans) are everywhere. They have organized fan groups in Seattle and many other cities in the US and globally. We need to build this type of fan base in Tacoma for our very own Storm (and Reign and Torrent, but I’ll get to them in future posts) – all our women’s teams!
Keep an eye out on our Events page for more Watch Parties, and I plan on moving locations around to support several local bars/pubs. Location suggestions? Email me: femmepoweradventures@outlook.com.
